A college education is something that I have dreamed of from a very young age. A college education means more than just going to college; it opens the doors to opportunities that I never thought I would be able to have. This experience would offer me a contingency to expand my horizons, further my education, and confidently make positive, lasting changes on a global scale. When my twin sister and I were about 5 months old, we lost our mother unexpectedly due to a sudden heart attack. Fortunately, my sister and I had guardians and many other family members that stepped in our lives without reservation to support us and motivate us as we grew older. Later in life, we lost one of our guardians, unfortunately due to health problems as well. While these moments in my life were difficult for me, I now realize that the many desires and aspirations our loved ones had for us would never fade away. I now continue to work hard to make my mother and the rest of my family proud as well as pursue my desire for a career in the medical/healthcare field. …show more content…
Pursuing a career in the healthcare field means to give back in more ways than one. I have always wanted to discover ways I could contribute to the improvement of healthcare around the world. As we all know, paying for college is definitely expensive. However, I am still determined to make my mark in the healthcare field.
