Ever since I was a young boy i've always dreamt about being in the military. It would be an honor to be able to serve our country. I have so much deference for active military personnel and military veterans. All those people that served or are currently serving have great courage. I believe I have what it takes to be a great candidate for the United States Navy.
A reason why I think I would be a excellent candidate for the Navy is because I work well with other people. I would aggrandize to communicate with other people and work in groups. I am very garrulous, so I have good communication skills. I also get along with the majority of the people I meet. Another reason why I would be good for the military is because I am a very determined person. If I can't do something I won't just give up, I will keep going until I get it done. I like to believe I can achieve everything I put mind to.
I conclude I would also be great for the Navy because I like that type of work. When I join the Navy I am going to try to be a Hull Maintenance Technician (HT). HTs perform metal work to keep shipboard structures and surfaces in good condition. I would be great for this job because I love to do hands on work like metal work. That experience was when my grandmother passed away. This was really hard on me because I saw her every day, then it just stopped. This has made me stronger because now I can handle pain that comes to me. This has prepared me for the military because I know I could see some of my close friends get killed in action. Even though I don't want to lose a friend I will always be prepared for something to go wrong. My brother is also in the Navy so I am used to not seeing someone for months at a time.
