Why I Want To Attend Culinary School

Decent Essays
If I attend culinary school it will most likely be one of the most challenging things in life for me. Mainly because cooking is what I'm truly passionate about so I just want to be as good at it as I possibly can. Attending The Art Institute of Las Vegas would push me to work harder in my life than ever before so that I am able to prove that I can be successful while also following what I am most passionate about. In five to ten years I hope to have pursued my goal of learning cooking skills. I hope to open my own restaurants and serve my own family recipes that were cooked in my house growing up as a kid. As a teenager, I chose not to go to my zoned school instead, I decided to go to a school where could I focus on my passion for cooking.

I picked cooking for a couple of reasons. One reason, is that I simply really, really enjoy food: eating it, looking at it, smelling it, pretty much anything to do with food is something I want to be a part of. Now I know what you may be thinking, “Uhh restaurants and take out joints LITERALLY cook for you? Like they solve the exact problem you are citing!”…

University of Madison-Wisconsin is unique in that it’s the only school located in our state capital. Therefore, some reasons I would like to attend this university would be because of its academic diversity, location, and size of the campus. As of now, my intended major is definitely undecided because I have no ideas what I plan on doing with the rest of my life. I presume that the University of Madison-Wisconsin, with its 136 majors, will be able to provide me with many different academic opportunities. I favor this because then, if I end up changing my major or wanting a certificate, I wouldn’t have to switch college because Madison is full of many different academic options.…

Driven, witty, intelligent, insanely passionate, a bit of a spaz; all of these qualities describe me, a person so optimistic even her blood is positive. From a young age, I have been infatuated with reading, with collecting knowledge, and with helping others. Additionally, my analytical talent has been one of my greatest assets (next to my sparkling and charismatic attitude) and has aided me in both my academic career and social life. Though the school system provides a phenomenal basis for the education gained in post secondary schools, it is not enough to sate my hunger. Every time I have thought about my future and how I can impact others, the plan has always involved going to college and pursuing a multitude of different majors from astronomy…
