Being the first child in my immediate family to actually attend college, I plan on a rewarding and prosperous future with no limits. My future consist of attending Georgia Tech, and experience what college is like while receiving my bachelor's as well as master's degree in Aerospace Engineering. I will take internships at some Aerospace Engineering companies to be exposed to what to expect in my career field. I also plan on attaining my pilots license while at Georgia Tech through the YJFC to help me in my career field. After I complete my academic career and am satisfied I will apply for jobs at esteemed companies such as, Boeing, Space X, and NASA.…
A reason why I would want to go to college would because it would help get me to places I want to be in life such as helping me get a good paying job or th position I would want. Another reason why I want to go to college would also be because I want to see what it is like to attend a college and at least try it out. While in college I hope to work part time to earn some sort of income as well but if I am going to be working it is only going to be a short term job till I earn the degree I would need and land a job as either a preschool or daycare assistant. I chose to become a preschool teacher/ daycare assistant because I love working with kids and feel like I would have the things I would need to qualify me in becoming those things such…
For this reason, is why I need to attend college. To render the immense sacrifices my parents endured in order to come to this country, signify something. Enrolling in college and graduating with a degree is one of the best ways I can repay everything they did for me. Today, I stand close to realizing one of the goals I set so long ago: being recognized as the Valedictorian of my class and graduating under the Distinguished…
Why Go to College? Jiddu Krishnamurti once wrote, “There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from that moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.” People go to college to get a direction for life.…
As a high school senior, the question I am most used to hearing is, “where do you want to go to college,” and my habitual response is the Wharton Undergraduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. But I think that the more apt question is “why do you want to go to college?” Personally, I want to learn. The Wharton motto of “knowledge for action” embodies this desire to learn and use this knowledge to pursue a career in something that engages and interests me. I am an aspiring investment banker and international business executive and am intrigued by mergers and acquisitions, investment banking from an international perspective, and the effect of international events on the global economy and the ensuing effect on corporations.…
I always wanted a positive life so finding an outstanding school was a priority for me. I began my research, with “the top business school for finance undergraduates.” The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University emerged as the best choice for me. For many years, I had an interest in math in which I chose finance.…
Just a few more months and I graduate after 4 years of being in high school,It seems like if it was yesterday when i was in middle school about to become a freshmen in high school. It was hard getting where i am,my first and second year were fine,my third year i did a lot of mistakes, dropping out and getting in trouble but because of a lot of credits i had got the years before,i didnt have to repeat 11th grade, its a chance i couldnt let get away,i rather do well and get high school over with than being here more years. My plan right now is to graduate and get back to work, doing metal roofing for a year to learn more things and know that job more and then in year go to college. I'm interested on going to a community college since i just want to do a 2 year career, either air conditioning or something with computers.…
My Senior Project was an interesting experience. When we started, we had to pick a career that we thought we would go into. That was difficult for me and several others in the class because we did not know what we wanted to do. We had to make decision, however, so I decides I would do Computer Hardware and Software engineering. This was a broad field, so it left plenty of room for me to change my mind.…
I want to go to college to educate myself and to be able to inspire peers to work hard for themselves too. I know that furthering my education is a very selfish thing for a person. One is taking it upon themselves to make themselves better. I also want get better to be able to teach children in the future. That is not the only reason I want to go I also want to go to show people who thought that they couldn't go that they can.…
University of Madison-Wisconsin is unique in that it’s the only school located in our state capital. Therefore, some reasons I would like to attend this university would be because of its academic diversity, location, and size of the campus. As of now, my intended major is definitely undecided because I have no ideas what I plan on doing with the rest of my life. I presume that the University of Madison-Wisconsin, with its 136 majors, will be able to provide me with many different academic opportunities. I favor this because then, if I end up changing my major or wanting a certificate, I wouldn’t have to switch college because Madison is full of many different academic options.…
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement. I am very interested in the nursing program at Massasoit Community College of which I am applying for September 2016. Going to school especially when one is a single mom with two kids is a real challenge, now I finally have the help needed to go to school, my friend is willing to help me babysit while I go to school, and I want to take good advantage of this opportunity. I am originally from Haiti where the condition there make it very hard academically and financially to go to college. my whole life hasn’t been easy, I lost my father at the age of 11, my mom with 5 kids couldn’t afford college for all of us, I had to start working when I was 17 to help my mom with…
A New Chapter In order to lean more and enhance employment opportunities, then college is a must. Also, College will help students build knowledge, build self-confidence, improve communication skills, gain independence, explore more options, and learn more about themselves. My mother is the reason why I attend college. My mother did not go to college.…
When I graduated from high school, I was proud of my high school achievements, experiences and excited of what the future had in store for me and my classmates. However, I was still uncertain on what I wanted to pursue in college. After speaking with my parents, high school teachers and, school counselor, I was strongminded to receive higher education. With uncertainty of my pathway, I decided to join a jumpstart program at Miami Dade College for summer of 2016. Pretty much head on I knew what I was up against.…
I liked to program, but was beginning to have doubts about whether or not I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing that. During the summer, before my last year of high school, I helped teach a summer course to middle school age students that dealt with engineering and robotics. This allowed me gain an even great love for the engineering path — helping the younger kids learn how to program build their own robots really was an enjoyable experience. The final nail in the coffin to the idea of me becoming a professional programmer was when I finally started the fourth and final STEM class, Digital…
The Path I Chose As we begin to end our senior year of highschool, we have many difficult decisions to make. One of the biggest decision we have to make is what’s going to happen next. Where do we plan on going? What career do we plan to pursue? I thought I had this decision set ending my junior year, but as senior year got closer and I actually had to sit down and think about everything, I had to make a few changes.…
