I vowed to myself I would go on to college so I could break the cycle of a long line of general labor. As a child of immigrants there is an immense amount of pressure on us to achieve the "American Dream"and to prove that our family's sacrifice to come to a different country was indeed worth it. The place I long to achieve this dream is at Marquette university, it had been my dream school since I was 8 years old and after a long list of activities ,recommendations, and stalking the poor mailman for any sort of notification, my dream became a reality and I was accepted to Marquette, I was ecstatic because was soon to become the first person in my entire family to attend college and graduate high school and even better yet at my dream school. I am humbled to be able to study political science and go to law school at Marquette's stellar campus but with the prestige comes a big price
