I am facing a job with little to no advancement and my wages are not the best. I decided to return to Berkshire Community College due to many things. It is close to home and inexpensive compared to most other schools. I also enjoy the fact of having a flexible schedule where they offer evening, weekend, and online classes. I am currently in my first semester since my return and I can say I am doing much better than I previously had. I am only taking two classes right now due to the balancing act of school, work, and family. Also, I wanted to start with only a few classes due to being nervous and unsure of how well I would do. My plan is to eventually apply to the nursing program here at Berkshire Community College and attain my license as a registered nurse. I thoroughly enjoy helping people and being involved with emergency services has pointed me in the direction to pursue a career in nursing. I am currently unsure if I will transfer to a university. That decision is a few years down the road and will have to be decided when the time comes. In conclusion, I believe I am a much better student for experiencing everything in the order that it happened. I had to go through being immature and having no goals, to gaining a lot of responsibility, and realizing that I need an education if I want to go any further in life, and attain a decent paying career. Now with goals set and in place I have the focus and drive to complete the tasks needed. Although with a lot more responsibility I have matured, and I am able to balance everything in order to attain those
