Before the age of 14 I never really considered myself to be a religious person. Although I grew up in the church, my parents always forced me to go. Therefore I never really paid attention to what was being preached. Still to this day, I struggle with living my life everyday as a Christian knowing that I don’t fully agree with all that I have come to learn on my journey. I guess that’s what they call blind faith. This also causes me to think into all the experiences and people I have ran into in different places I have …show more content…

So many people don’t understand that there is a big difference between being a devoted purist of religion and someone who just wants to live their life with religious

I became a believer at church camp the summer before my freshman year. At that moment, my life was radically changed in such a way that I have hope. As a believer, I am called to be prepared to give a defense of my faith and a reason for the hope that I have to anyone that asks (1 Peter 3:15 NLT). In order to be able to give a defense of my faith, I must be firmly grounded in the final authority of Scripture. The Bible is the inerrant word of God and is useful to teach us truth, make us realize our faults, corrects us when we are wrong, and teaches us to do what is right (2 Timothy 3:16 NLT).…
