I feel like I am a good candidate for this scholarship because, as a senior, any and all money earned and received will help me ease the burden of attending college. My goal throughout my whole childhood was to receive a full ride scholarship to the college of my dreams; however, as time has gone on and I have matured I have come to the realization that, that dream is not as achievable as I once believed it to be. I have worked hard, inside and outside of the classroom, making the grades and creating the resume that colleges are looking for, and in response I have been offered tuition waivers. Which ultimately means I am still responsible for paying for my books, room and board, part of the tuition cost, and mandatory fees.…

I believe I should be selected for scholarship support because of my passion for my degree fields and my passion for education. I am studying History, Secondary Education and German and I would like to use my degree to teach at the high school level. Some of my high school teachers were the most important in my decisions for my future and shaped who I ended up being, so I would love to give back that way and do the same for the future generations. I am willing to bet that there are many astonishing young men and women who have applied for this scholarship. I am also willing to bet there are a fair amount of applicants who meet the unwritten standards needed to receive this scholarship. I will not boast promises of outstanding grades or how this money could build my future. Instead, I will tell of my past, allowing my personality speak for itself. Growing up my parents always encouraged my siblings and me to stay true to ourselves, whether that is morally, mentally, and/or physically.…

I can recall a time when I challenged myself to do tremendous work over the summer. That summer was this year, where I encouraged myself to take drivers education for my license next year, test out of Algebra 2 and P.E., work at my parent’s nail salon to earn some cash, do my AP History and Advanced English homework, practiced my viola for Symphonic Orchestra, read during the night, and study for the S.A.T. (which was way too early for me). I was prompted to act because I recently found my ambitions for my future, which is wanting to become some sort of engineer (undecided, but it’s related to this field), have the highest GPA possible, and get accepted into University of Michigan. These ambitions didn’t hit me at the speed of light, but naturally throughout my ninth grade as I transition to a broader level of education. Too late?…

Life is a cryptic phenomenon in my point of view. This is because life is unpredictable and usually it is not going according what you have planned at all. That is why life is truly mysterious and lucidly ambiguous because sometimes we delineate for something based on our wills. That is simply because in life, we do not get what we want sometimes, but we will get what we actually need in future. For me, the only thing we can do with our life is learning our impuissance in the past ,live up to the fullest for today and hope for the best in the future.…
