Why I 'M' Am By Langston Hues Ms. Jones

Almost everyone has made mistakes that they regret. Many of those people have been looking for a chance to redeem themselves. In the story “Thank you m'am” by Langston Hues Ms Jones is that person and after she catches a young boy named Rogers attempting to snatch her pocket book. Instead of punishing him as many others would have, she took him to her home and treated him to dinner. During and after their meal, she tells him that once when she was young she made mistakes and that she wanted him to behave himself. While in the beginning Ms Jones comes of as strict and mean, if you delve deeper into the story you begin to realise that all she really wants is the best for Roger.

One of the most clear reasons for why Ms Jones wants to teach Roger
