Why I Love Alabama

Decent Essays
These are the reason why I love Alabama. I love the food on Thanksgiving Day, and the coldness on a winter's night. I love staying in my room all day and just watching videos in the pitch black eating king's hawaiian rolls one after another. I love waking up super late around 12:46 in the afternoon and taking a soapy shower and brushing my teeth and going right back to sleep to start the next day. I may wake up now and again to find food or to go outside and chill with my cat kunta. I love the weekends where i do do absolutely nothing at all. I love the chinese food that this state manage to cook and create but it's still good, the sushi is good, orange chicken is good also the sauce makes it better. I love family reunions. Florida is a land of sun palm trees and sand. Florida being a southern state with sweet tea, Publix, and Disney just a few hours away, had many perks. I had never thought of what it might be like to grow up in a northern area, or just even outside of Florida. Up until my 14th summer I had always assumed everyone lived the same way I did. It had all started when I got accepted to a summer program in Washington D.C to attend a medical forum.…

My number one food to eat there is Spaghetti and Meatballs. Sometimes after we eat at a restaurant, I go to the store with my mom to get Florida Root Beer. That's one of my favorite memories! In addition to the excellent restaurants, there are beaches that are filled with gross seaweed. Once, I went to the beach…

I truly enjoy the company of my family, and just to always be with them. Having great people to go on a trip to a beautiful outstanding place just makes it so much more exciting and lively. A favorite memory of mine was going out late at night to the lake and swimming. The atmosphere at night is a lot different than it is at day. In the day it can be quite crowded and sometimes noisy.…

Here I am today singing songs about the south-land;because I miss 'ole' 'bamy once again. Years ago I left my home state of Alabama, where the skies are so blue and I moved to the not so great state of Montana. Many people questioned me on why I moved to Montana, and my response back is because in that moment I felt like I needed a change, but in the end I think I made the wrong choice to move away from Alabama. But soon I will be back to sweet home Alabama,oh,Lord, I'm coming home to you. Back in early March of 1974,I was working at a local convenience store.…

I grew up in a place where the neighbors lived a mile away, the animals ran loose all the time, and if you really felt like it, you could walk outside naked and nobody could really see you. It was a small town where everybody knew everybody; when driving down the road, you knew who was in the car passing you, and by the off chance you didn't, you still waved anyways. Going to the local gas station for a soda or to fill up the truck turned into a trip to go see your friends and visit. The family lived right around the corner, and bonfires were a regular thing. "Sedgewickville Population: 173" is what the town's sign said.…

Before I first started at North Greenville University, I was a student of the Spartanburg County School District Two community in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. A remote place that did not have much to offer at first glance. This is probably because I am originally from the crowded and industrialized city of Philadelphia. Yet, during the almost decade that I have resided in Boiling Spring, it has become increasingly similar to the hustle and bustle that I left behind. Although Boiling Springs will never truly embody the presence of northern life, the constant construction of new businesses and expanding of frequently traveled roads are beginning to meet my expectations.…

The general point of “Alabama”. The general point of the song is about segregation. How the governor doesn’t like other colored people like blacks. My wife and I love living in Arizona. We moved out here a few years ago from New York and never looked back. Sure, we miss everyone at home, but the mild winters, abundant sunshine, affordable real estate, proximity to dozens of amazing attractions, and low-cost of living, easily make up for that. We settled in a town named Goodyear located about twenty minutes west of downtown Phoenix. It’s the best of both worlds as we enjoy suburban living, but have access to everything the city offers.…
