My thoughts are great, to me. When I bring my written assignments in to other students to read and review, I quickly hear my way of thinking maybe not so great, but if I learned one thing it is that two heads are better than one. Peer-review helped me out a lot in this quarter on my writing for those times I may have missed a spelling or punctuation error. I learned a peer-review can be great, but I also learned there is a downside to peer-review. Some of the most challenging aspects of revision and getting feedback from others were that I would sit down for hours and write my heart out to the best of my abilities and when it was time to hand my paper in for a peer-review, the only feedback I would get was “it was good”. The “it was good” answer would sicken me with the lack of care and respect for another person’s work. I learned input from others are different depending on whom you deal with when letting somebody read your paper, some students actually read my writing and gave some great feedback that helped me out in astronomical ways. One of my peers read my paper in class during a peer-review and he found that on one of my argumentative writing pieces that it would be beneficial to add more points to defend my stance on a topic and to add more solid findings stating my case.
