Why I Hate Chemistry Research Paper

Improved Essays
Chemistry- the world most excruciating subject. I hate chemistry — always have and always will. Chemistry is full of memorizing things that is boring to the mankind. There are over an hundred and eighteen elements on the periodic table, and chemistry students have to know all of them! What even more frustrating, is that chemistry students do even see a third of the hundred and eighteen elements on the test; yet chemistry teachers being the cold-hearted human beings, do not tell their students what elements they need to know for a test.
ALEKS is an online chemistry program that takes up ninety percent of my time. The homework is extremely hard, and every time I get a problem wrong, then it will make me do five more problems on the same topics.; I would spend two hours working on one topic on ALEKS, and I would not even realize it until I look at the clock; Time goes by quickly. That one thing is really learn in college — time goes by quickly.

As Cher Horowitz would say, “You see how picky I am about my shoes, and those only go on my feet.” If Clueless took place in 2017 NYC, then this outfit would have been Cher’s iconic, yellow, plaid skirt-suit ensemble. This look has transcended along the ages. Plaid never goes out of style, and neither does our lookbook! Christine of Louis Reign has shared with us that, “My style is edgy with a twist.…

I found this to be very useful as many of the chemistry stories and scientific explanations went right over my head. The book covers every aspect of science that I could think of. So much of what I learned while reading this book involved much more than just chemistry. I learned about history, alchemy, astrohistory, math, geology, and mythology. At times it seemed as if I was reading a textbook, with how much information there was.…

Kimberly Day 3/22/15 Journal #5 The top two reasons a student in college flunks or drops out of classes are because they don’t have time management skills or they are not financially responsible. Luckily for me, I am very strict with myself in both of these categories, as I feel they share equal importance to a student’s life. During my college years it is crucial that I keep a close eye on my bank statements and maintain my time management effectively if I want to be included in the numbers of students who succeed. For me, being a single mother puts a massive hold on my financial status, especially during this time of my life.…

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Victoria Matus for her admission to college. She has been my chemistry student for two years. Victoria is curious and fearless scientifically, and is undaunted by topics that are difficult or about which she is initially uncertain. She approaches chemistry with maturity; she knows how to ask good and perceptive questions, and she knows where to go to start getting answers, whether they are found in the literature or they are obtained from her peers and/or teacher. I am most impressed by her confidence, resilience, and independence.…

I will be taking general chemistry and biology—both are the foundation of their field. When I master the material taught in those classes, I will be better prepared for my future courses in chemistry and biology. Since I was in elementary school, my father emphasized the importance of understanding the material rather than just knowing and getting the correct answer. I followed his advice, but I did not actually see the difference between knowing and understanding until spring 2014.…

I’ve always loved the sound of rain. Its soft patter against my window releases me from the stresses of college applications, if only for a moment. Then, as quickly as it came, the rain stops its descent upon my window and retreats; growing up in Central Florida, I have been well accustomed to erratic weather patterns such as the rain coming and going in a moment’s notice. Florida’s weather has taught me a valuable lesson over the years: life can be as unpredictable as the weather.…

Up until high school, I have never experienced science as I did in a high school environment, specifically in DRS, where I fell in love with chemistry in 10th grade. It was so interesting to look at the different ways our environment, even ourselves, at a cellular level interact with one another. This love for the science influenced me to take upon myself the challenge of AP Chemistry. So far I have further developed and honed my skills. I have further ingrained in myself the idea to question everything.…
