I failed calculus 2 the first time I took it. I heard for years from classmates and friends that calculus 2 was one of if not the hardest course offered at the school. A math major friend even tutored me the semester before, and I thought I was prepared. Unfortunately, the course lived up to its reputation and despite all the forewarning and planning I could not grasp the concepts or deal with the workload. My GPA fell and put me on probation and my subsequent appeal was declined in some sort of triple whammy. The only blame is on myself but the silver lining is that this series of unfortunate events exposed the critical flaws in my school plan which up until this point was auto-pilot.
