I believe that people can love whoever they want to love. Human beings should not be made fun of for their sexuality. I stand up for people when I say that we have the right to love or be attracted to who we want. Older generations tend to see this as “unholy” and refer to Leviticus 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination” (King James Version, Leviticus 18-22), and yet they are to scared to even give it a chance. I trust that the reason for older generations to be scared is that they are fearful of change. Individuals in the mid to late 1990s are less startled by changes because we happen to be born around the time that the internet was founded. The internet opened up a new road for us. It has showed us how much change can happen in just a couple of decades. Everything is changing drastically since the 1990s, people have also changed. This includes individuals sexualities. Another concept on sexuality that has become popular is gender identity which by all means is something I am open-minded about. Recently we have seen on the news and social media stories about gender identity and gender bathrooms. Well I say let them go to whichever bathroom they feel the most comfortable in. If a person born a man but feels like or wants to be a women should be able to go to a women’s restroom. Not to mention having all gender restrooms work great! …show more content…
Sexual morality has varied greatly over time and between cultures. However, family values such as bibles and God and peer pressure from society have forced LGBTs “into the closet”. We all have different cultures, but then again all of our cultures have similarities. We either eat the same food as another culture, or have the same religion, or even the same language. We all seem to be fighting a battle with each other, yet we can’t seem to notice that we are alike in many ways. We buy and sell from other cultures such as China but have no respect for them. I have repeatedly seen or heard several Americans get angry because a hispanic person was minding their own business but talking spanish instead of english in America. America does not have a specific language. Why are we so mad? Other cultures are allowed to speak whatever language they choose. I am open-minded and diverse about other’s
