I didn’t want to, I had to. But there were so many flaws in my plan- we weren’t well off so getting down to Chicago, paying the attendance fee, and other expenses would be difficult to pay; it was on a day that both parents worked; et cetera et cetera. Walking up to my parents, laptop with the ticket information page open in my shaking hands, I took a deep breath and prepared to ask the million dollar question. “So.
