Improved Essays
Hello to my favorite grandson. Don’t tell your siblings I told you that. They’ll murder me for that! Well I know you got in trouble today for not going to school to go play hooky. This is not okay! I know I have a bad reputation for skipping school and other very bad things, but I know that inside of that body you have a great mind destined to do great things and to do this you can not skip school. I’ll tell you a story about someone who decided to skip school so much he ended up in a very bad situation. This man Muff Potter was drunk and had a bad education making him want to do these things more than others. Well he went with a Dr. and Injun Joe to dig up the grave of a man that had just died for the doctor to use for experiments. Well Injun Joe stabbed the Dr. and then blamed it on Muff …show more content…
which then puts him as guilty for murder. Also if you keep on skipping school you are not going to be able to get a good job which will then lead up to a good life. So try hard to stay in school (even though I know it is extremely boring) trust me I know. After all of my life experiences I know how important it is to stay in school. Oh and I got carried away sorry. So back to the main point. Did you get in trouble for doing this. I hope my daughter did not go too hard on you I mean you are only 9. Please send a letter back telling me how much trouble you got in. If she did punish you a lot then she is going to get a whoopin tomorrow. Well I mean a month or so depending on how much time it will take me to get there. Also do NOT play dummy on me I know you are still going to skip school, but go fishing instead of going to play hooky. Hear me clear do not skip school at all unless it is for something important. Also do NOT fake diseases. Missing school will never put you forward in life and will almost always drag you down and put you behind your classmates. Also never ask for stories about me

Undescribable Elie, ashamed and guilty, harshly brings thick unwanted soup to his dying father Staggering, suffocating, surrounded, solitary, squandered, starved I am in disbelief that anyone could be so strong to be strained, starved, yelled at, beaten, bruised, wounded, whipped, scarred, and tormented and walk out alive. Death is the devastating result for man’s need of the tiniest, stale crust of bread Afraid that his father was dead in his blanket, I sunk, praying it was not true They stand frozen with undeserving power, holding fear in the shape of a rifle. ‘Free at last’ (Weisel, 112)…

One moment, I’m living my dream, teaching children the wonders of literature, and the next I’m living with my dear sister and her husband thousands of miles away from Harrison High. To all the doctors, teachers, peers, and family members who didn’t believe I would amount to greatness, thank you. When I was young, I didn’t understand why school seemed more challenging for me than it did for everyone else. After reading this book, I would recommend this to people who are new to parenting, as I felt this could still apply to parents who have multiple children, but these techniques described in the book seem to be more difficult the more children parents would have. The book is an great read and offers great insight to not only raising emotionally intelligent children but it also takes the time to focus on parents taking care of themselves too and developing time for themselves to recharge and also regain composure. Overall, I believe people who have children should read this book because it could give some perspective that most people may not give much thought of, such as before reading this book, I never gave emotional intelligence much thought…

Reading Memoir John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars, stated,” Great books help you understand, and they help you feel understood.” Actually, reading books helps me to explore the world. When I was just a little girl, I loved reading fairy tales which brought me to many vicarious thrilling adventures, and when growing up, non-fiction books taught me how to become a good person. Besides that, reading has brought me to many various levels of emotions, such as joy, love, hate, fear, and sorrow. Some stories not only make me feel euphoric with happy endings, but they also make me feel despondent when a character’s deep sorrow touched my heart.…
