Why I Chose To Pursue Academic Degree

Why did you choose to pursue the undergraduate degree that you did? Please discuss your professional aspirations and how your undergraduate degree will help you achieve these goals.
My major field of study is Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Astronautics. I chose Aerospace out of all other engineering concentrations, as I did not want to be held back by the "burdens" of a desk job. Of course, all careers involve paperwork, but I want to be in on the action. Instead of designing vacuums or the next new iPhone, I wanted to get involved on a larger scale: rockets. And an even larger scale: space. It is nice to look at the stars from down here on earth, but I want to help get humanity closer. Furthermore, I enjoy seeing the world develop
