Why I Chose To Play Softball

Imagine playing on a field with a sold out crowd, cheering and hollering for your team to win the game. Then you’re up to bat and you hit a walkoff home run, and the whole stadium goes wild just for you, because you won the game for your team. It’s always been a dream of mine to play softball in college. One thing I would like to accomplish in the future is to get a softball scholarship to the University of Michigan because; I love playing softball, I would like to be apart of the team, and it’s a to thank my family and friends. First, I love playing softball. To me softball is truly enjoyable. It is enjoyable because on and off the field you can always have fun a lively time with your other teammates. Softball, also, challenges me to be superior. When we play a better team, it pushes me to up my game. Even though, sometimes, when try improve your game it doesn’t always work, but you have to at least try. Softball, also additionally, keeps me busy. About every weekend I have a softball tournament, in both the spring and fall Reasons like these make me enjoy the game even more. …show more content…
One reason is, I love to travel. So, one of the benefits of being on the team is you get to travel the country. One night you’re in California, the next night you’re back a Michigan, then two days later you’re in Florida. Another, reason is the coaching staff is just brilliant. The head coach, Carol Hutchins, is the winningest coach in softball NCAA history. Also, the pitching coach, Jennifer Brundage, lead the 2000 U.S. olympic team with the highest batting average. My, absolute, favorite reason is you get to make new friends. When it’s time to go to college most of our friends will go to different colleges. So, when you get to college you can make new long life friends. New friends are just as great as old friends. These are three reasons I would love to be apart of the
