Jessica Smith has been the number one reason, i've chosen to try and accel in my last two years of high school and to continue my education in college. All my life i’ve been told that I was smart, that I can go to college and be successful. Therefore I made good grades in school to achieve that goal of mines. It all changed when I came to high school it was, either your college bound, military bound or you’re going right off into the workforce. I quickly choose the college bound path to take because it was what I always was told to do. Here I am taking so many challenging courses so hopes of the day to come that I gain admission into the college of my choice. During the Spring of my Junior year in high school I was informed with some life changing news, I was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome. Everytime that I would doubt myself she would remind me of all the hard work that I put in to get here and how I can do anything that I put my mind too. She was and still is my biggest supporter of going off to college. Neither of my parents went to college so they don’t see the importance of it because they see it as they made it just fine without it. I've always been told that college is an investment and that is very much true, it pairs with the saying, it takes money to make money. College is something that you have to be dedicated to in order for you to have a good turn out. You also have to have motivation to be it is that you want to be and one good supporter in your corner who believes in you even when you don’t believe in
