Why I Chose Physical Therapy

As a little girl growing up in a small village, I knew that in order for me to succeed, I better had something to inspire me, to motivate me in my every single step. Until I turned fourteen I hadn’t really found or decided what I wanted to do, but I knew that I should keep looking and not settle for anything. It was the summer of 2010 when I finally found for my dream job and most importantly my greatest inspiration in life. By choosing Physical Therapy as a major and applying at NEIT, I knew I would fulfill my dream that kind of a dream that was going to fill a large part of my life. By choosing Physical Therapy, I had chosen a major where I could use my heart to help people become healthier, stronger and more confident about themselves. I chose …show more content…
After my aunt gave birth to him, his parents realized that he was a little bit different from the other kids. I grew up with him without realizing his disabilities, I used to play with him without paying attention how slow he would run or react to things, I used to tell him everything without minding how long time it would take him to respond back. My aunt and uncle gave up on everything just to cure him and make him feel like the other kids, make him feel equal. Their only hope was to come to America for better treatment and medication. The needs of having the best treatment for their son lead my aunt to study for Physical Therapy. Her motivation, ambition, hard work and optimism encouraged me about applying for Physical Therapy school later. It was then that it had become obvious that this was a profession that I can really get into and feel for. I always have wanted the best for my cousin. He is such an inspiration for all of us. He is a smart young man who does not give up on anything and every day that passes by, he shows that fighting personality that he carries. I cannot be any more proud than this about
