It wasn’t because of my parents or the extravagant classes the academy had to offer, that I accepted this opportunity. It was because I wanted to uncover what was hidden between the walls of science. This was my opportunity to discover, on my own, what I wanted to do. Throughout my four years at the medical academy, I developed a foundation of medical coursework. These courses helped me discover the true meaning behind what it means to be in the medical field. At times, like any student, I would question myself. I would ask myself “Is this what I really want to do?”, “Will I be happy in my future career?”, and “Do I see myself in the medical field?” All of these questions paced through my mind day and night. “Was I on the right path?” To relieve my pacing mind, I decided to become a member of various organizations. Within the organizations, I participated in activities like competing at nationals for the Future Business Leaders of America, teaching children about water safety with the Red Cross, and volunteering within my community for National Honor Society. Despite being around so many opportunities, I was still left perplexed about what I truly
