Not only would I plan activity for the set day (Tuesday, November 22), but I would leave an activity book with the teacher to do activities with the kids at a later date. I had to plan an activity that would keep the children entertained, while also not make a huge mess. I chose to do the activity Disguise a Turkey, I felt as if it was perfect for this time of year. I printed a cut outs of turkeys, and then the children would have to decorate the turkey so he looks like something else, so he doesn 't get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. I bought feathers, plastic eyes, pipe cleaners, colored cotton balls, and all different art supplies for the children to decorate their turkeys with. My team of Kaytlyn, Noah, and I were very successful in meeting the goals and outcomes I planned for the project. Our small team of us three joined in with the Our Lady’s staff while serving the food and cleaning the kitchen. The passage “ The Secrets of Great Groups” really helped me understand what I needed to do as the leader of the group. I needed to provide my followers with direction, and give this project meaning. They provide a home, food, and safe place for these women and children, when they have families at home to take care of as well. Noah was very skeptical at first. He did not think he would do well with the children. I encouraged him he would do fine and just try his hardest to make the children happy. A concept we learned was to imitate change and help others adjust
