Why I Chose Dentistry

Ever since I was young, I always had have dental issues. My teeth were crowded in the lower set and had an overbite. My face is not symmetrical because my jaw stopped growing at a young age which in turn gave me jaw problems. Because of my history in having such issues, my intended major I choose to pursue is Biology, specifically dentistry. I have prepared for my major by taking all the necessary courses and prerequisites for Biology. The courses I took in my community college consisted of me taking all of the necessary math, English, chemistry, and biology courses as well as Physics. Beyond taking the required courses, I have also watched my mother do dental surgeries, dental cleanings and even surgeries in general on animals as her occupation
