Later in the semester while researching colleges I reasoned that becoming organized and starting to plan my classes with greater intention would be necessary if I wanted to transfer. I was looking at state schools in California, and did not know about the UW yet. Eventually, I chose to complete an associates degree for transfer, similar to Washington’s direct transfer agreement, so that I would be eligible for transfer to most schools within California.
Up to that point, School was not something I was serious about and I dedicated most of my time to other aspects of my life. Specifically, my sales job at Best Buy, and training at a local TaeKwonDo dojang. The little remaining time I had was used to practice my drawing, or to hang out with my friends. Realistically I would not have been able to succeed in my schoolwork without altering my priorities. So I decided to quit working, and spend my newfound time focusing on my education.
