Why I Choose Alma College

I have decided to write why I believe Alma College would be a great fit for me and the future I am planning for my academic and career choices. Living in a small town my whole life, I don't know if I am ready to change my lifestyle by attending a college in a huge city or somewhere extravagant; therefore, I believe that it would be a phenomenal opportunity and experience to go to Alma. In high school, I have never been involved with athletics as much as I had wished. I did not much affinity towards our sports teams either. Athletics seemed more of a requirement and a hassle rather than something that had a lot of value in it. At Syracuse, I would want to become someone who doesn’t see sports in that light. I want to be involved with sports at the university, both playing and cheering, and have a school and sports teams that I can feel vast amounts of pride for, even after I become an alumni.…

“If you have four years to complete your college education, do it,” said Bo Jackson, a prominent professional baseball and football player in the 1980s and 1990s (Bo Jackson Quote). He was the first of his family to be given the opportunity to go to college, and he took it. Like Bo, I will seize my opportunity to attend college at either the Ohio State University, or the University of Toledo. For me, the hardest part is not the academics, but deciding which of the two to attend. Among everything Tuition, location and living conditions, and my future major in engineering all impacted my decision the most.…

"I cannot give up Cornell" I had written in an appeal letter three years ago, in an attempt to petition my rejected application. Unfortunately, Cornell admissions had a policy of not accepting any appeal letter. As a result, although I've had the pleasure of fostering an undergraduate experience at UCLA, I still dream of the day of studying at Cornell. So, as I had done three years ago, I write this personal statement in the truest form of sincerity. I want tell you why Cornell University has been my school for the past ten years.…

I plan to play football and attend college full-time as a student-athlete at this University. I like this college specifically because I feel I can balance my practice and class schedule well in this atmosphere. This school is a great fit for me because it has one of the top Pre-Nursing programs, in which I plan to major in, and a top notch Sports-Med program in which I plan to minor in. Also while working towards my degree, I will be part of a team that is one of the best in the NCAA Division 1 level, with a coaching staff that can teach me valuable lessons and what it means to really be a man. I put my all into everything I do and commit myself to perfecting my craft, and the faculty…

Every year, more than 460,000 student-athletes compete in 23 sports under the National Collegiate Athletic Association or NCAA (NCAA.org). Each and every one of these young, talented, and dedicated high school seniors are required to select an academic major that is, more often than not, not relevant or consistent with their true intentions of attending the college they choose. Improving athletic skills is why significant numbers of NCAA Division I student-athletes are at their respective college and this is the main reason why they 've gone to their campus of choice.
