Why I Am Proud To Be An American Essay

The America I believe in is a strong, proudly spoken country. We (the USA) are about freedom and expressing our thoughts and opinions. I am proud to be an American, where I can have a choice in what I do. I am thankful to be able to choose the vast options offered in America, soldiers risk their lives fighting so we can have the freedom that other countries don’t have.
One intriguing factor about America, it’s like no other country on Earth. We are a country founded, and built from many different cultures and nationalities, such as, African Americans, Muslims, Asians, Hispanic, etc. We have one thing in common: we are all united under the great stars and stripes.

Veterans would be abandoned to take care of themselves and wouldn’t receive the special treatment they deserve,if we did not live in America or have the freedom we do today.
Not many people know what each thing on the flag means; The white signifies purity and innocence; Red, hardiness and valor; and Blue, the color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice.The stars represent the fifty states and the thirteen stripes stand for the thirteen colonies.
I believe that America can get back to the honest and innocent world it once was. I have a hard time saying that I am proud to be an American because people have changed our country into a hate-filled, judgmental, racist place; and this is not the America I believe in.
The America I believe in works together and perseveres to its highest potential, it does not judge by the color of someone’s skin, and isn’t hate-filled. The America I believe in works together so that citizens can grow as one. The America I believe in works together so that if we are attacked again like we were on September 11, 2001, we can get right back up and fight back full
