First of all, had I been aware of this limit, I would have begun this process about a year ago to avoid having to go through this ordeal. The reason why I am over the allowed 60 semester hours is because I am currently pursuing two separate Masters degree programs at Indiana University at the same time.
I came to Indiana University in 2011 to pursue a Masters in Arts Administration in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. This seems counterintuitive, as it is limiting the potential for a student to expand their academic knowledge and preparation, especially if they want to pursue work in a niche field like I desire. After all, the nature of an academic institution is to foster the intelligence and capabilities of its pupils by encouraging further work and discoveries that would make us grow both as people and as a society, and I believe that this includes pursuing more than one degree. However, placing a limit on how much one can study for more than one degree at one time seems counterintuitive and against the very foundation of being an
