When I was 14 I started to want a dog of my own. When I asked my mom if I could get a dog she told me no because I had bearded dragons to take care of. I wanted a dog long before I got bearded dragons but my mom told me a dog was to much work and to expensive for me. I was joined with some facebook groups that had pets for sale and I started looking just to see what breeds I might like. I told my mom that I was going to find a new home for my dragons because I really wanted a dog. On all of the groups I looked at there was mostly pit bulls looking for adoption or foster homes. I heard terrible things about pit bulls being vicious and not a family dog. I just assumed my mom wouldn 't actually let me buy a dog she just let me entertain myself with looking. It was the beginning of the school year when I was looking for a dog. Every Time I found a dog I thought was cute I would send my mom a picture of the puppy and she would always shut me down. I started thinking she really wasn 't going to let me get my own dog. I stopped sending her pictures of dog I liked but I still looked. One day I was in my child development class and my mom sent me a picture, I remember my heart started racing waiting for the picture to download. She sent me a picture of a bunch of blue pitbull …show more content…

The drive was hours long and I sat home just waiting for a text or pictures to be sent. She didn’t reply to my text for what felt like forever but in reality it was maybe an hour. While I waited I was thinking of names and decided on the name Zailey. Finally she sent a text that said com get your dogs in a group message to my brother and
