I grew up with the mindset that one has no purpose until one finds that which one is truly passionate about. Growing up in my family, although a large one was not much of a challenge in decision making because we were allowed to choose our paths. The challenge only lied in making the best out of the free will. I was quite good at several aspects of life, sport, music, math, et cetera but realizing my increasing interest and desire in interpersonal relations, helping those in need and understanding the human health, I decided to pursue a career in medicine.

In medical school, I developed a keen interest in the pathophysiology of diseases, how they affect the patients, how best to manage them, and how to prevent recurrences or co-morbidities.

George 's University in Grenada where I enrolled as a Pathology Research and Teaching Fellow. It was a two and half year experience where I worked with physicians from around the globe in understanding the pathological process of diseases and taught medical students basic pathology and how to interpret histo and macro-pathology images. With my desire of intellectual improvement and for a United States postgraduate medical education, I moved to the republic of Ireland to work as a junior doctor in the department of internal medicine. This is to facilitate a smooth transitioning back to clinical medicine. I have since then acquired a great clinical experience, having been involved in the management of numerous cases with lots of continuing medical education, case presentations at clinical meetings/grand rounds and journal reviews. In the same vein, I have acquired a three months hands-on clinical experience at Medcare multispecialty clinic, Brooklyn New York and observership programs of one month each at Maimonides medical center Brooklyn New York and Yale New Haven hospital, Connecticut. This has undoubtedly given me the required exposure and knowledge of the United States medical system and multicultural society, which will make it easy to blend in when I hopefully join your esteemed …show more content…
I believe that the experience I have gathered over the years since graduation and my personal qualities meet these criteria. I chose your program because of its reputation, its achievements, and the record influence it has had on its residents.
