Hunting Should Not Be Outlawed How would you get meat if the local grocery store stopped selling it? People would have to kill their own food. Hunting is a way of life for many people. Hunting allows people to feed their families; helps decrease animal population and carry on family traditions. Hunting should not be outlawed because it is a means of survival for many people. My Grandpa hunted to provide for his wife and children. They never went to the grocery store to buy meat. There were nine people in his family and money was always very tight. Many families rely on what they hunt and kill to feed their families. Many families living out in the country can’t go to the store to get food. They grow and kill what they eat. Therefore, if hunting was outlawed a lot of children would go to bed hungry. Secondly, hunting decreases over population of the animals. Without this the animals would suffer. When there is over population of a species of animals food supply is decreased and the animals can get sick or die. Deer and motor vehicle accidents are a good example of the effects of over population of animals. According to the S.C. Both my Grandpas hunted to help feed their families and, their fathers taught them how to hunt. They learned to track the animals, respect nature and how to safely handle a fire arm. Some families have annual hunting trips. My Dad always went to Bennettsville S.C. to hunt with his Dad, uncle and cousins. I enjoyed going turkey and deer hunting with my Dad and his friends. They let me shoot the gun and I helped watch for the deer or turkey.
