The fight to win in any sport is intense. However, hockey takes it to an extreme level. Hockey is a fast-paced sport and the only time there are stoppages in the play is when they are calling a penalty on the players or a brief timeout. The reason hockey is so intense is because they are skating and fighting for the win, back and forth for 60 minutes in three different 20-minute periods. Hockey is special because it is the only team sport that allows actual fighting. It is also special because it one of the very few sports on ice. This leads to hockey being more intense and exciting than other sports. It is giving us fans a different experience at a sports area than what we are used to. This can demonstrate the passion that hockey players have
