Although this is true for most of America, there are still parts of this nation where guns are necessary for survival. In some parts of Alaska, for example, many people are forced to hunt for and store their own food for the winter because they live so far away from a town or city. More than 10,000 people die every year from gun homicide, and most are from around 15-24 year olds. About 8,512 people have died last year from gun violence. I believe that individuals should not be allowed to have the right to bear arms because in most cases, it does not actually help people, children have easier access to dangerous guns, and having a gun makes the owner living there statistically more dangerous. First of all, many people argue guns are needed for protection purposes, but there are rarely any cases of citizens using guns.
