Guns in Classrooms: Why it needs to be allowed You look back at your students, trying to comfort them. You heard the gunshots and so did they, as you hear the gunmen coming towards the door. You think this is it, but, you remember you have a firearm, when the gunmen comes in, you shoot him and stop a possible carnage. But this did not actually happen at Sandy Hook instead, 20 students and 6 teachers died because nobody except the gunmen had a firearm on them. Many people don’t want teachers armed, but when you look at the stats how in Utah, since teachers have started carrying weapons, there have been no K-12 shootings in 10 years. In most school shooting the shooter kills themselves as soon as cops arrive or are coming because cops can fend for themselves. Out of multiple school shootings, the gunman has usually killed themselves. If a criminal/madman knows that if one or more person can fend for themselves, they would not try or would not get very far. Also, the only people that abide by the gun-free zone law are good-guys, bad-guys do not care because they have harmful intentions in their head. Next, if you were the gunman, which place would you go to? A gun-free area where nobody will have a firearm, or a place where guns are guaranteed; if anything, you would go to the gun-free zone because people would be less of a threat and can not fend for themselves. Having an area where people can not fend for themselves is too easy for a criminal to enter and kill many
