Golf became popular in America in the 1890s. The wealthy classes formed private golf clubs where they could play. Then just like today, its appeal depended on time and money. We must change this perception that golf only allows businessmen to get to know each other and do deals between shots and that only those privileged can play. Golf needs to be aimed and marketed to kids more than ever, it builds character as well as relationships. Golf teaches honesty, patience and camaraderie. Golf teaches you how to handle failure in a respectful and adult manner. As cliche as it sounds children are the future, if we dont teach them about this wonderful game young they probably will not pick up the game in their adult years. Which leads to less
