Getting a college degree is an essential way to earn a good job. However, going away to college is not for everyone. Factors to be considered a challenge when studying abroad are: money, stability, and responsibilities which may cause a student to drop out of college or their academic performances is not to their fullest potential. As the saying goes, “money is everything.” We all know that money is very important in life as it get us by in our daily lives. Could you imagine the amount of money that can be saved from a room and boarding? For example, according to Laura Pappano of the New York Times, she states that room and board for a semester at Brown University costs $4,800 alone which does not include tuition. Being a college student has it own pressure coping with their peers now adding in dealing with settling with a new way of living can be a tremendous burden on a pupil. For example, my son Ben is the only child being spoiled by everyone take life less stressful. Now, away at college, he finds it overloading for him to cope with his studies in with these additional burdens leaving him in emotional distress. On the other hand, if he was at home, he could have leaned on and depend on one of his sibling for some assistance. In addition to that my cousin John went last year to study in Taiwan because he wanted to follow some of his friends. After, his first semester, he wanted to come back home because he could not have coped with his studies and figured that it was not his calling to continue in that field of study. He was feeling depressed and frustrated in his studies and eventually he then return home and changed his field of study that he felt more comfortable
