"Why do you want to go to college?"

Students go to college for many different reasons. Some seek intellectual challenges; others seek social or personal growth experiences. Still others are focused on career development. More than likely your interest in college is a mixture of all four of these: intellectual growth, personal growth, social growth, and career preparation. Students that graduate from college are more likely to have higher paying jobs, in their chosen field of study. Many will have jobs lined up right after graduation. Even on campus students are busing working and creating businesses and entrepreneurial ventures, such as Mark Zuckerberg who invented the social-networking site Facebook in a college dorm, now having a net worth of $39.6 billion. With a higher education, you are less likely to be unemployed. While undergraduates are making 10,000+ less than students that have attended college, More than 21% of high school grads are living in poverty,

While away at school you are given an opportunity to join an organization with students who have common interests as you, making life-long friends. Colleges put hundreds to thousands of students in one place at once. Giving them an opportunity to meet new people, and share interests, and mutual attractions. Studies suggest that you are more likely to meet your future partner in college; almost 28% of married graduates attended the same school. The college has so many travel opportunities, from study abroad to internships, class trips and volunteering; you are going to be exposure to new places, traveling outside of your comfort zone. Allowing you to branch off campus. Meeting new people, exploring new passions, adventuring out. College allows you to find yourself, learning new things about yourself, exploring unknown territory, and putting yourself out
