Why Fcps Should Not Make Intramural Sports Programs In Middle School

Intramural sports would be a program that has a sports team for each school that plays against other schools. The money needed to run the Intramural sport program would be taken from the creative and performing arts programs. FCPS’ current plan is to fund intramural sports programs is to take money from Creative and Performing Arts. Fcps schools should not addmake intramural sports programs toin middle schools because it would need to take money from other existing programs, it would be challenging to create a brandwhole new program that is good, and students maymight not even join the sports teams. Fcps should not make intramural sports programs in middle school because it would take too much money from other existing programs. Programs like creative and performing arts, after school programs, and other programs would have their to have a smaller budget decreased to get enough money to start the intramural sport programs in middle schools. Those programs would become worse because they would have a very limited budget and would not have enough money to buy sufficient supplies, equipment, etc. and other things that would make the program better. Fcps has 23 middle schools which means and that would mean they would need to create 23 new teams with a coach, new equipment, a schedule for the games, and would need to pay for more staff like coaches and whatever for staying after school to practice with the team. All the money taken from other programs would probably not be enough create a whole new sports program that is good. Also, there would have to be many different sports like basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, baseball, and many other sports programs that would have to be made because students will say that the sports chosen will not be
