Fall Experience

I was born in a Venezuela, South America, where seasons basically do not exist. I was not used to experience the changes in nature as the curse of a year goes by. The first time I was able to experience such an amazing change in nature, was when I traveled to the United States for the first time. I love all the four seasons composing a year, but my favorite one, with no doubt in mind, is fall. The reason why fall is my favorite season is because all the color diversity in the environment plus the perfect weather accompanying this amazing time of the year. I was eight years old when I first traveled to the United States. It was on the winter of the 2000. My parents decided to come on winter, so that my sisters and I could have the opportunity …show more content…
I lived in Boston, MA. for a year. Boston introduced me to fall time. At the beginning, I did not think that I love fall itself, but the city I was living in. I did not have a clue that fall could easily turn any place in the world in such a magic, romantic, charming, and adventurous place. After living in Boston for a year, I moved to St. Charles, MO. St. Charles taught me that no matter where I am at, I will always feel charmed by fall. I have spent fall in different places because I usually travel on thanksgiving break. I went to Chicago once, and I love how the city looked all charmed by the fall time. I enjoy the smell of the stores (a smell between pumpkin and cinnamon). On a different opportunity, I went to DC to spend my thanksgiving break over there. There are no words to describe how beautiful the city was. Some trees showing all these beautiful colors while some of them had not even a single leaf …show more content…
This perfect weather that allows you to have a cup of hot, black, Colombian coffee while you are sitting outside on the deck of your house. I love to read and I feel that I read a lot more during fall than on any other time of the year. I like to sit outside of my house, with a good book on hand, and see how the leaves from the trees change in color. I love to see them fall as if there is nothing else to worry about. Another aspect that I like during fall season is the clothes people use. I think that this season is elegant, classic, and delicate at the same time. All the combinations people can wear attributed to the multiple changes in weather during fall season. I like that people have the chance to dress with boots one day and then change to moccasins the day after. I adore the coats that people use on fall because they are not so big, but still big enough to protect them from the cold and make them look fantastic and fashionable at the same

The chapter “... So Does Season” from How Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas C. Foster demonstrates the use of season associating with characters and the setting. As said by Foster, spring is associated with “childhood and youth” (186) because of the new birth of flowers and nature; however, the birth of Frankenstein’s creation takes on the day of a “dreary night of November” (Shelley, 56). This quotes foreshadows hardships on the life of the creature because of the on a “dreary night” and the month of November.…

In the incredible ode, “To Autumn”, John Keats uses the literary devices duality and personification to capture the audience’s attention. He talks about the differences in autumn and it becomes clear that no matter the scale of revolt, or whatever happens, the cycle of life will continue endlessly. This is obvious when one looks at the phrases in each stanza, which makes the slight contrasts Keats’ uses purposeful. By looking at duality and personification, we can see the major differences in the phrases and the stanzas; this is important because John Keats magnificently exemplifies that all good things must eventually end as it’s a common cycle to all living on earth.…

I will write about “ The Japanese sense of the seasons”. In the book, the author says that Japanese people have a strong sense of the seasons. Because Japanese people had been engaged in agriculture, their lives depended on the seasons. The time of planting seeds, giving fertilizer, and harvesting food are all depended on seasons. So they treasured four seasons, and thanks to this, a lot of seasonal events were formed.…
