Euthanasia on People and Why It Should Be Legal Euthanasia is the act of killing a living being with chemicals that will kill the animal or person painlessly. Currently this is illegal when it is being used on a person; even if the person wants to die the hospitals cannot euthanize a human. This is currently being debated on whether or not people should have the choice to have themselves euthanized or to live. This should be legal because it saves the resources we use to keep these people alive, which costs a lot of money, and it also puts these people out of their misery. Forcing a person to live and suffer while being on their death bed is inhumane and basically strips that human of their rights of life and choice (BBC). It seems like cruel and unusual punishment, which is against the constitution, to force a human to live and suffer in a hospital and in ICU when they know they more than likely will not make it out of that bed and will not leave that hospital alive. Even if some people say that if a person signs a paper saying they want to be euthanized, they’ll commit the greatest sin to man, it would end their suffering and they would truly be able to escape from the pain of it all. Even if there might be corruption in this would and people think that signatures would be forged, we have technology to stop all of that from happening. So after all of this is said there is no way that this could go wrong, it can only do good by stopping people from having to suffer from the ICU and let them move on from that pain and stopping Medicare to have to spend millions of dollars to keep people alive even just for a few
