Why did Donald Trump win? That is a question most people have been asking themselves since the night of the election. We all thought we knew what was to happen, Hillary Clinton was going to be the United States of America’s 45th president, as well as our first female president.That night history was destine to be made, good or bad. Though when it was announced that Mr. Trump was our President Elect, the majority of North America was devastated. People did not attend work, children stayed home with their families, and some people even left the country. This all happened through fear of what was to come of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Now, let’s talk about what happened. When Donald Trump announced that he was to run for presidency, we all took it as a joke, but then he kept going. Here are some reasons Trump won the election; By being in the Republican party, Trump had very isolated, vulnerable, and biased voters. He was very set on that group of people, and it so happened that there were many of those people in this country (bible belt ). Trump spoke very much about immigration, stolen jobs, and terrorism. He said many offensive, racist, sexist and directed things towards very specific groups of people. When he stated that he was going to build a wall, that was towards Mexican people. When he stated that he was going to “Secure our borders” and not let in Syrian refugees, that was towards Muslim people. And when he said “ I will make America great again” he meant he was going to make America white again. In the end, he won the electoral vote and started going into action. He won the votes because he was a white, wealthy, famous, competitive, confident
