It is important to know your audience because you will address different facts to different audiences. Different audiences will be interested in different subjects. Depending on who your audience is they may give you great feedback or not so great feedback. The most difficult and important question to me is "Why does your proposal matter?" It is difficult to for sure know what your audience is interested in and to make a proposal surrounding the audiences's feedback is the hardest. What matters to you might not matter to your audience that's why it is important to consider your audience's feedback and thoughts.
