He seizes Curley’s hand, and even as he is getting yelled at to let go, he does not release, and must be pried off of Curley.…

George and Lennie have been together for a long time, he even considers Lennie as his cousin, since Lennie didn’t have anywhere to go George took the full responsibility to take care of him since he cannot live on his own because of his disability. When George kills Lennie at the end, I consider that as an act of mercy because first of all the Mob was about the make Lennie suffer for what he did to Curley’s wife, second of all Lennie became a danger to the society and for himself third of all George couldn’t take care of Lennie anymore and Last George knew that he won't be able to make Lennie’s dream came true. First of all, since Lennie kill Curley wife’s accidently, George had to go hide in the forest because he knows that we will be in trouble, when George finds out that Curley wife is dead and that Lennie is the murder George didn’t know what to do, he knows Curley wouldn’t have any mercy for George if he finds out. George didn’t have any option to kill Lennie by his own hand to make him suffer less.…

On page 91 Lennie tries to explain the consequences from George he believes he will receive if she tells on him, causing him to hold her even tighter, still not meaning any harm, “’I don’t want you to yell. You gonna get me in trouble jus’ like George says you will. Now don’t you do that.’… and she was still, for Lennie had broken her neck.” This event is clearly foreshadowed as something that Lennie cannot help but do mainly due to his previously noted childlike curiosity along with a tactile addiction.…

In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck George should've killed Lennie, because George was just babysitting Lennie, Lennie could of hurt more people, and Lennie would always cause trouble when the two went to different places. A reason why George should’ve is that George then wouldn't have to take care of anyone. “George held out his hand. Come on.…

In the short story, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, George did the right thing by killing Lennie. If he hadn’t, who knows what kind of pain and torture Lennie would’ve been through. In the story, Lennie had murdered Curley’s wife by accident, they knew he had done it because of a quote provided by Slim, “I guess Lennie done it all right, Her necks bust. Lennie coulda did that.” Lennie had gotten angry at her for screaming when he was petting her hair and held onto her neck for too long.…

Of Mice and Men essay I think that George and Lennie from Of Mice and Men have a better relationship than Romeo and Juliet because George protected Lennie on multiple occasions, George was able to find him and Lennie a job when it was hard to find open jobs, and George only killed Lennie because it was the most humane choice he had. My first reason is because George was able to find both of them a job, even though it was very hard to find a job and Lennie was mentally disabled. This is shown when George successfully gets them a job at the ranch even after being chased out of Weed after Lennie grabbed the girl's dress. That would have made finding a job difficult, however George was still able to get them a job even though he had to lie a bit. On pages 21 and 22, we see this when the boss asks about Lennie not being much of a talker.…

Even though Lennie acts like a child, George still needs him even though he may not know it . George would feel as if he had let Lennie’s Aunt Clara down by not protecting Lennie. Also, George has never left Lennie’s side, no matter how much trouble he’s gotten in. For instance, when Lennie got in trouble in Weed, George didn’t have to come, but he willingly did. At the end of the book when Lennie had left the ranch for accidentaly killing Curley’s wife, George had found Lennie right in the spot he was told to go.…

In the novella, Of Mice and Men I believe that George was a good friend to Lennie. Friendship is when you are by someone's side, through thick and thin. George and Lennie were good examples of friendship because they were always by each others side, even though they may not have gotten along at times. Unfortunately, Lennie isn't so bright, so George has taken on the role of not only being his companion but his caretaker as well. In the novella George and Lennie have gotten into trouble a number of times, but this one time may or may not have depicted whether he was a good friend or not.…
