Relationship Between Hae And Adnan

Improved Essays
Adnan didn't have a good enough motive to kill Hae therefore he’s innocent. Or as how the state put it I feel like it was a weak one. But not just that it was also because he didn’t seem to be very affected by the breakup.Nor did his friends see a different view in his attitude not once did he seem sad or depressed over Hae. Also everyone always said that they had an on and off relationship but it was also a really normal teenage love. Hae and Adnan both seemed to move on from each other pretty soon because Hae got a boyfriend and well Adnan was seeing other girls and it seemed like they remained friends. Adnan also mentions himself that his religion wasn’t something he was super strict with enough for him to affect him so strong like that. …show more content…
She wrote that she loved him and he was very important to her, she also included that they had an on and off relationship and that they were sexually active they talked on the phone too.She also mentions a lot that his religion to him was very important and she mentioned a lot that she would never make him pick between her and his religion. Hae seemed a little dramatic when she would write in her diary and refer to how much she loved Adnan. She also hid that she was going out with Adnan but she would also write and say that Adnan’s family was a little more against them going out especially the time when his parents came to prom and took him. Hae also seemed to be a little of jealous type like at prom when Adnan won prom king and another girl won prom queen and they danced together and Hae didn’t really like that or it kinda bothered …show more content…
But Adnan on the other hand says that yeah his religion was a really important part of his life but not so much to where he let it affect the person he liked or the person he wanted to be with. She also mentions that Adnan called her a “devil” and he said it was because she was the reason he had already broken part of his beliefs. Hae mentions that many times but she takes it as a bad thing but when Adnan said it he said that he didn’t mean it he never thought that she would of taken it as a way where she was to feel guilty. He also says that yeah he did go to his religious duties that he had to do like go to church but he never thought that he was pure and that she had to do everything that came with being of his beliefs and because he smoked weed and yeah he was a good honor scholar student but his religion was not his main priority. He did have to make it seem like it was with his parents but other than that he was as normal as a teen pretty face boy is. So in conclusion according to the state’s motive to why he killed Hae is weak he was not upset nor mad about the breakup to so many times he admits it and has evidence to show it. So why even stick to that same motive why not at least give a real reason that can prove him wrong and guilty. I think that Adnan is innocent in so many and ways where the state simply can't prove anything or just don’t have the

They took testimonies from family friends and his friends who said he was a stellar student. They stated that he was always leading prayers in the mosque as well as having a job as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician); on the other hand, they also made him out as living the life of a “criminal.” They said that there were several instances where they were able to tell he was a killer such as his ignoring his parents and getting a girlfriend despite his mother’s wishes, smoking weed, and Adnan apparently being obsessive over Hae. The prosecutors made Adnan sound as if he was extremely obsessive over Hae by stating how often he would go over to check up on Hae regardless of what she was doing. In Adnan’s culture and the region of Pakistan where his parents are from there is no such thing as dating; people are either single or married.…

Eboo Patel tells the story of his journey of finding his identity as an American Muslim and Indian in his book Acts of Faith. However, describing Patel’s conclusive identity necessitates elaborating on the many intimate, pluralistic encounters he immersed himself in throughout his life. Beginning with a base of a somewhat elusive Muslim identity, Patel then discovered Mormonism, Judaism, Catholicism, and social activism, eventually landing back into his familial heritage. Patel’s multiple major epiphanies throughout his young adulthood due to his encounters with girlfriends, literature, organizations, mentors, friends, and travels have all served as great contributions to his United States-Muslim-Indian-pluralist identity.…

Not only that but the only person who claims to have seen him in that time frame “called one of the prosecutors in… the case…and undermined her own statement” proving his actual location was unknown at the time. It is unusual that Adnan would not remember anything about this crucial day because he received a phone call from the police. He says he does “remember that phone call and [he does] remember being high at the time” but continues to deny remembering anything else because the day was “normal”, but, receiving a phone call from the police does not seem very normal and most people would remember the events leading up to it. Another reason why Adnan is legally at fault is because he…

Cultures all around the world perceive women to be objects and nothing more. For a woman to speak up for herself and make a change in something she believes in, truly shows the heroic act of that individual in any circumstance. The book A Thousand Splendid Suns on the other hand, written by Khaled Hosseini, demonstrates this principle very strongly through the two protagonist’ in the novel, Mariam and Laila. The development of the two in earlier chapters bring them to be totally different characters near the end when the true act of heroism fully proves to be evident. Furthermore the struggles of Mariam in particular built her into a courageous and selfless character, throughout the novel, portraying her has the true heroine.…

In his 1977 essay, “In Defense of Masks”, Kenneth Gergen introduces the concept of multiple personas and personalities as being ‘masks’. In his psychological and sociological research, Gergen concludes that people do not have a coherent sense of identity and need masks to be happy, healthy, and successful in society. I agree with Gergen because different situations call for different personalities; such as acting professional for a job interview, being lively with friends, or maintaining a perfect image of yourself for other. Most jobs call for a certain degree of professionalism. People put on masks while at work to give off an impression of uniformity.…

The second reason I think Adnan must be innocent is because there are too many inconsistencies that Jay provides during his testimony while being interviewed by the police. Jay provides many stories, which sometimes do not match up to Adnan’s story or to the stories he provides. There were many inconsistencies that did not make sense, of which I will share the 3 that I found most important, which you can find in episode 4 called “Inconsistencies". The…

Reader Response 1: Pages 1-16 The narrator begins speaking about how our life is balanced between our misfortunes and blessings, which I agree with. I know exactly what the author is talking about, as it is common in our society to say things like "Why did this happen to them? They are such good people. " Just as the narrator's father doesn't like talking about large age gaps in marriages, I think the uneasiness that we feel when talking about the topic is still around today.…

Even with all of this in mind, the court sees him as the main suspect and is not dissuaded by his normal persona. They pin him as Hae Min Lee’s killer by using the jealous boyfriend stereotype.
