1. Why do you wish to earn a Master of Human Resource Management? Why do you wish to earn an MHRM from The Fisher College of Business?

I am applying for admission into the Master’s program for Human Resource Management because I want to delve into adapting organizational management strategies that are deployed to improve deviant work behaviors and performance, either on small or large scales. I was drawn towards this management program since I realized it was a means through which I can understand and provide satisfying solutions for worker’s unethical behaviors in the workplace that reduce productivity. By advancing my education through a Master’s program, I will be able to accurately identify potential risks

As I volunteered to help bereaved families of students who died in sinking with Sewol Ferry incident, I was exposed on the need to ensure that only the best work ethics are practiced in every organization, to create a good working environment of the employees and the safety of others. Personally, I believe when an individual has a good level of work/life balance, they will be able to perform better in their work and project a positive attitude towards other colleagues and given jobs. This experience made me to realize that many Korean organizations made decisions that were quite self-centered when it comes to their business. The unfortunate accident caused by unprofessional actions of the captain, highlighted management problems in organization. While dealing with this organizational incivility problems, I seek to gain my ability to reduce prescribed individual’s organizational deviant behaviors and attitude and enhance their job satisfaction.
