2. I was surprised when Walter actually cared for his family because he gave Travis the money for a trip and a bus ride. While I was reading I was picturing a family that is a little bit not controlled. That Ruth would be the serious mother toward Travis and she would wear an apron most of the time. Mrs.Johnson would be the black women that is jealous about everything and doesn’t take anything for granted and would wear a dress most of the time. Travis would be the kid wearing baggy shorts and would be nice dearing school because he seems like a nice ind kid to most people. Walter would be the father that would look like a raggy one because he mostly drinks his life away to solve his problems.
4. One thing I've noticed about the author style is that she keeps it moving and doesn’t stop it along the way. She likes to write good and bad signs of each character and how they act and can change. She ends it on a cliffhanger when Ruth fell over and was passed out and you wouldn’t know what would happen till afterwards. Every time each scene would end with a question mark and you would wonder what would happen next and how would it change the story. The feeling of each character would change depending on how all the other characters felt to show some sympathy for the
