When making decisions always make the right ones. Ashleigh is faced with a hard decision to take moms money for dad or don't take mom's money. She goes back and forth between her mom and dad. Her mom has her life together. But her dad doesn't. I don't think Ashleigh took the money because her mom is a good role model, she knows her dad isn't the best person, and she knows stealing the money is wrong.
Ashleigh did not take the money because her mom's to much of a good role model. Ashleighs mom is a good example for Ashleigh for example “She's the most practical person i know, always preparing for a rainy day” (Pfeffer, 1). Her mom is always ready for the worst, the bad situations people don't think about. This is good for Ashleigh because its showing her always to be ready. Ashleigh was second guessing kinda stalling herself for instance she thought to herself “Her earthquake money. Her martian money. What should i do”(Pfeffer, 4). Ashleigh thought about what all that money was for. She knew her mom used that money or saved it for a reason. She doesn't know what to do take it and help dad or don't take and and help mom. The author also stated “I lifted it and stared at the emergency money”(Pfeffer, 4) Ashleigh knew she was in a rush incase mom came home. But she just stared at it. She didn't wanna take it. Ashleigh knew it was wrong and was scared and didn't take it. The author also used “...I could hear it in the distance. Your one and a million it cried”(Pfeffer, 4). Ashleigh could hear her dad's care way in the distance. She was nervous and couldn't stay focused. Your one and a million, she heard that because that's what her dad always says when he needs something. She was nervous and didn't take the money. Ashleigh had issues on what to do but she made the right

( A)- It actually wasn’t just her father’s fault, but also Billie’s since she threw the kerosene out the door, hitting ma which is why ma was burned tremendously, which eventually killed her.…
