There are problems with abortion. Many people say that abortion is taking the life of a new child. It is so much more than that though. Women don’t have abortions because they hate the baby. They also don’t have abortions just to have them. Some women also do not want to get one but have to because that is what’s best for their body. It is not right to outlaw something because it’s not what other people believe in. The United States is a free country; you have the right to believe in any religion. You also have the right to decide what the best option is for you and your baby.

One of the most important ideas that structures our national government is the separation of church and state; one of the rights given to all American citizens is freedom of religion, which many people in our country misinterpret. An abortion is effectively a medical decision and it should be made between the mother and her doctor.
