The big time corporations pay millions of dollars for a few seconds of advertising. Some brands like Doritos don’t have commercials the entire year, that is until the Super Bowl. Companies like these put on their best seconds of advertising for the Super Bowl. Recently, I was at a barber shop where I overheard a man saying that he was going to a party for the sole purpose of watching the advertisements. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe that people would watch an event only so that they could see the advertisements. I then asked other people what their motives for watching the Super Bowl was. To my surprise, more than a few responded that they went to the parties to watch the ads.
The Super Bowl is an occasion that is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. Thanks to the variety of aspects the the game offers ranging from the game itself to the ads. Sports fans watch it for the game, and non sports fans enjoy the event for its halftime show, food, friends, and ads. This year over 152 million people tuned into the 50th Super Bowl. There have been 50 years of this fun-filled day, and it doesn’t appear to be dying out, rather it looks as if this day will continually grow in
