Why Do We Sink The Titanic

The Titanic, a huge cruise ship built by man. The Titanic was believed to be indestructible and unsinkable. They said not even God can sink the Titanic; the name says it all. This ship was very luxurious and the largest of all ships. It was set for voyage April 10, 1912 after being built for three years. This Luxurious Giant was filled with many of the world’s wealthiest and famous people setting sail across the North Atlantic all the way to New York (Well, at least that was their intention).

In the early 1900’s (early 20th century), when the Titanic was being built, it was a very exciting and innovative time. This was a time when steam engines, steel mills, railroads, steamships, cars, radios, and the first airplanes were being made also,

They also had top chef’s cooking great fancy meals for the wealthy people on board. Also, the first class enjoyed all of the above plus lots of entertainment and fun activities. For example, a heated swimming pool, a gymnasium, squash court, and a grand ballroom (these are just a few of many activities and pleasures of the Titanic). The ship was very ellegant from the outer design to the inner beautiful expensive decorations. The ship captain and crew were the finest and “most capable sailors” in all of England. There was a magazine that featured the Titanic and labeled it as “practically unsinkable,” many people took the label “practically unsinkable,” and soon became known as the “unsinkable ship.” Most of the 2,227 passengers on board were so blinded by the ship’s label, that when the ship struck the iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14th, four days after the ship left Southampton, they seemed to be unconcerned. The crew members would tell them to put their life jackets on, but they would pretty much just ignore it.
