First and foremost, We are all being taxed to an excessive extent by the Crown. Now there are many Acts that have been taking place like the Stamp Act and the Sugar Act. The stamp act taxes all kinds of official paperwork, since stamps are required to show if the tax had been paid. Also, the sugar act taxes molasses and sugar we use. Voltaire’s ideas are being demonstrated. We need to have freedom of speech and tolerance, so if many of us don’t want to pay taxes, we need to be able to communicate to the government that the taxes are too high and unnecessary. The pope and ministers have all sweared on an oath to be loyal to the Crown. Although, the Church is not a place of worship anymore, it’s a place of bribery.
